The UK Graduate Visa allows international students who have completed an eligible UK degree to stay in the UK to work, or look for work, for two years or 1.5 years (under new rules) or three years if they have completed a post-doctorate degree after they have completed their studies. This Visa can only be applied for from inside the UK.
The UK Graduate Visa does not lead directly to settlement, but graduates on this route can switch into other relevant immigration routes, which can lead to settlement.
A Highly Potential Individual Visa (HPI) is available to recent graduates of top global universities who wish to work, or look for work, in the UK. The route is unsponsored and is capped. Unlike the Graduate Visa, this can only be applied for from outside the UK.
The Highly Potential Individual (HPI) Visa does not lead directly to settlement, but individuals can switch into other relevant immigration routes, which can lead to settlement. On both routes, main applicants can be joined or accompanied by a partner and dependent children (subject to meeting the relevant immigration route requirements). If you believe that you are eligible to apply under any of these routes, please feel free to contact us at hi@kb-law.co.uk, or Book an Appointment and we will be more than happy to legally assist you.
