Indefinite leave to remain (also known as settlement) under various point-based system routes is also available for individuals who have already completed the qualified period under the relevant PBS routes i.e either 5 years (60 months) or 10 years (120 months) or more than 10 years in the UK under new earned settlement Immigration rules. UK offers several routes to settlement by working & studying in the UK.  Work related settlement routes include the Skilled Worker visa, Health & Care Visa, Innovator Founder visa, Global Talent Visa, Investor Visa, Sole Representative of an Overseas Business category, UK Ancestry visa and a combination of different categories also known as long residence settlement.

Individuals may also need to meet the residency requirements, financial requirements, English language requirements and Life in the UK requirements (unless exempt) depending upon the relevant route they are applying for.

The main applicant’s dependent partner & children under the age of 18 (at the time of first grant of visa) can also apply for settlement once they meet their relevant route requirements.
